FoRMAT OF THE INTENSIVE

Overview

The Intensive consists of 33 modules divided into four categories: Theological Vision, Gospel Renewal, Ministry Design, and Church Planting. Participants will learn about real challenges in a variety of ministry settings that seasoned leaders and church planters face, develop church-planting intuition through interactive learning exercises, and join a global community of church-planting leaders and peers.

Training Structure and Expectations

  • The design of the Intensive requires all participants (church planters and observers) to commit to attending the full two-week programme.

  • In addition to attending the 2-weeks live sessions, participants (church planters and observers) will be required to complete a foundational short course online: Center Church prior to the Intensive.

  • The Intensive requires participants to have a strong grasp of the English language. Though a portion of attendees might not have English as a first language, English is the uniting mode of instruction and interaction at the Asia Intensive.

INTENSIVE SAMPLE SCHEDULE

Note: The actual timings and modules may change in the final schedule.

PARAKALEO

There will be a Parakaleo Basic Training for women in ministry, particularly wives of the church planters, as they team up in the mission that God has placed on their hearts.

Parakaleo is an organization that walks alongside ministry-minded women in church planting. It is dedicated to ensuring that both members of the church planting team receive gospel-centred training and care. Specifically, Parakaleo creates relational space for women to engage with a robust gospel that frees them to embrace and live their truest identities. Couples have a high success rate for the survival of their church and their marriage when both are trained and coached.

Participating women are encouraged to attend the Asia Intensive with their spouses on the 1st week and join the Parakaleo Training on the 2nd week from 19 to 22 Aug.

  • Parakaleo requires all participants to attend the full training as each session builds on the previous one.

  • There will be some pre-work reading for you to engage with before the training.

  • Participants must be literate in English as there will be reading, interaction, and sharing during the training.

  • Infants and children are not allowed as we require full attention for the training. We would advise you to join the next time if you have to take care of your children.

In recognition of women's contributions to church planting, CTCAP will sponsor the training expenses, usually valued at USD 300 per attendee. The invitation will be extended once their partners register as church planters.

If you are not a church planter's spouse, you can still apply, but acceptance will depend on availability. A registration fee of USD 50 will be required upon acceptance.
