FORMAT OF THE INTENSIVE
OVERVIEW
The Intensive consists of 33 modules divided into four categories: Theological Vision, Gospel Renewal, Ministry Design, and Church Planting. Participants will learn about real challenges in a variety of ministry settings that seasoned leaders and church planters face, develop church-planting intuition through interactive learning exercises, and join a global community of church-planting leaders and peers.
TRAINING STRUCTURE AND EXPECTATIONS
-
The design of the Intensive requires all participants (church planters and observers) to commit to attending the full two-week programme.
-
In addition to attending the 2-weeks live sessions, participants (church planters and observers) will be required to complete a foundational short course online: Center Church prior to the Intensive.
-
The Intensive requires participants to have a strong grasp of the English language. Though a portion of attendees might not have English as a first language, English is the uniting mode of instruction and interaction at the Asia Intensive.
APPLICATION PROCESS
CHURCH PLANTERS
The Intensive primarily focuses on individual church planters, partners, or teams who are in the initial processes of growing a church or ministry in an Asia-Pacific city. Church planters who are ready to apply gospel-centred principles and concepts to their building process and keen to join a global community of leaders are encouraged to apply for the Intensive.
ASSESSMENT FOR CHURCH PLANTERS
City to City Asia Pacific will utilize the 360 Survey by the Christian Leadership Framework as a key assessment tool to evaluate applicants' leadership capabilities and suitability for the Intensive.
This survey focuses on 8 to 10 essential leadership capabilities required for a church planter. It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and will provide valuable insights into the candidate’s strengths while also identifying potential challenges they may encounter in church planting.
This will help us discern if it is the right time for the applicant to go through the Intensive.
OBSERVERS
Other ministry-minded individuals are invited to join the Intensive as observers. While they may not necessarily be looking to plant a church in the near future, CTCAP welcomes participation from other Christians actively serving and looking to grow in a ministry capacity.
APPLICATION PERIOD
Applications are open for the upcoming Intensive until 30 April for both church planters and observers.
